  • Also known as the Fairy Iris.
  • This is a perennial, evergreen plant which grows up to 1.5m in large clumps.
  • The long, rigid, sword-shaped leaves are held in a fan shape, are dark green and may reach up to 1m long and 15-20mm wide.
  • The flowers are large, about 100mm apart, and are white with yellow nectar guides and outer petals, with violet segments.
  • The stems of the flowers are erect and about 1m in length.
  • This is an indigenous large wild iris and is used in gardens and in landscaping.
  • Can be planted in full sun, parial shade or in a shade position.
